Editorial Guidelines

Vintaked.com is an independent website committed to featuring the latest trends in the world of vintage decor, vintage fashion, and expert tips.

This editorial guideline delineates the principles that govern our work. If you find that our work deviates from these standards, kindly reach out to us at contact@vintaked.com or use our contact form.

Our Reporting

We present stories as we perceive them, striving for accuracy without the use of any AI technology. Please refer to our Anti-AI Policy for further insights and our position on this matter.

When conveying information that may not be readily available to the public or could cast an individual or organization in a negative light, we make it a point to seek their input.

If we receive new information post-publication, we will either update the existing article or publish a new one, as needed and promptly. Additionally, we revisit articles at least every three months to ensure timeliness, relevance, and helpfulness. Independent experts review them to maintain our commitment to producing top-tier content.

Upon notification of potential factual inaccuracies, we diligently verify and issue corrections if errors are confirmed.

A right to reply is extended to anyone mentioned in a story. If you feel you or your company has been portrayed unfairly or wish to add context to a story, please reach out without hesitation.

We strive not to publish information from sources, named or anonymous, without attempting corroboration through additional sources. The identities of anonymous sources are protected, and we do not offer monetary compensation for information.

When reporting on information initially brought to light by another publication, we unfailingly provide prominent attribution and link back to the original work whenever feasible.

Our Professional Engagements

In the course of our work, we interact with vintage stylists, independent experts, publishers, and other entities, collaborating with creative and public relations professionals while maintaining a professional demeanor.

In the event of a company severing communication with us (referred to as ‘blacklisting’), we uphold high reporting standards, impartiality, analysis, and critique without succumbing to external influences.

Out of respect for individual stylists and experts and their creations, we refrain from public discussion unless there is a compelling editorial reason – for example when the integrity of the publication is at stake or the release of crucial information is delayed.

Advertising & Commercial Activities

The editorial and advertising divisions at Vintaked are separate entities. The content on the Vintaked website and our social channels is solely at the editors’ discretion and is uninfluenced by commercial considerations.

Our advertising team adheres to principles of fairness, honesty, and transparency in dealings with advertisers.

We do not accept advertising that plays audio automatically or includes offensive content. Inappropriate advertising content is not allowed and will be removed promptly. If you believe the advertisements do not meet these criteria, please contact us.

Occasionally, we include links to retailers (e.g., Amazon) and may receive a commission from purchases made through these links. However, these links have no impact on our editorial decisions and are presented in neutral language, such as: “View the latest price of [this product] from Amazon.”

NicheLink

Vintaked is owned by Blum and Steffes NicheLink GbR, overseeing a variety of brands and websites, including Reslisdence, Flawliz, and Getyourgift.

These ventures operate independently of Vintaked’s editorial department. We disclose our association when covering activities conducted by our parent company, NicheLink. Such coverage is entirely subject to the discretion of the editors and is not influenced by commercial considerations.

All NicheLink staff and collaborators are acquainted with this editorial policy and collectively uphold it.
